Recently, the distributed photovoltaic power generation project of GCL Group in Mengshan County, Guangxi has achieved a significant breakthrough, injecting new vitality into local energy development and rural revitalization. This project was promoted by intern Yaoyue Zhang and his team. Through an innovative land exchange model, a win-win situation for both enterprise development and rural interests has been achieved, providing a new paradigm for the implementation of the renewable energy industry in rural areas.

The project team has closely cooperated with Dongying Group in Sicun Village, Chentang Town, Mengshan County, and successfully built a photovoltaic farm with an installed capacity of 154.305 kW and a floor area of 600 square meters. The farm has adopted a unique operation model, which not only can meet the electricity demand of more than 300 local households but also provides new ideas for solving the problems of resource scarcity and income inequality in rural areas. Through land exchange, villagers exchange the right to use their land for free electricity supply. Meanwhile, within the next 25 years, the farm will also give back a portion of its profits to the local villagers, effectively increasing their income sources.

From an environmental perspective, the photovoltaic farm is expected to reduce the consumption of approximately 60 tons of standard coal and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 154 tons annually, which is equivalent to afforesting 15 acres of land. This highly aligns with the environmental sustainability concept that GCL Group has always adhered to and also makes a positive contribution to combating climate change.

The successful implementation of this project not only demonstrates GCL Group's active efforts in technological innovation and social responsibility but also provides a replicable model for renewable energy projects nationwide and even globally. This innovative measure is expected to be promoted in more regions, promoting the extensive development of the solar energy industry in rural areas, helping to achieve the organic combination of rural revitalization and green development, and laying a solid foundation for building a sustainable energy future.

GCL Group will continue to explore more innovative models, strive to play a greater role in the field of new energy, create more value for society and the environment, and promote the Chinese renewable energy industry to new heights.
